Videos are more engaging than imagery or text, and help to create richer experiences with your brand. They don’t just look good, the stats speak for themselves.
According to Hubspot, including video on a landing page can increase conversion rates by 80%. And around 92% of mobile video consumers share videos with others.
In a hectic world where the average human attention span is diminishing rapidly, video is one of the most effective tools available, which can be produced on a relatively low budget and timescale too.
These days there are plenty of options to choose from, from informal live video, recorded or live webinar or screencast for B2B, through to a full pre-recorded production. Consider linking with your social / CRM strategy to share a brand or product launch, behind the scenes of the business or a sneak peak of NPD for loyal customers.
Creating a video isn’t as hard as it might sound, and there’s opportunity to outsource if necessary. Videos can be incorporated into your social media ad campaigns, embedded to your website or launched in a mail shot. They’re versatile and encourage click throughs. Grab your camera and a suitable assistant and shoot your way to new business!
Top tip: Use keywords
Once you have an engaging video created, make sure your video is tagged with keywords that your audience are likely to be searching for. Using the right hashtags or keywords will help your video be found and create views. Or better still, deliver it straight to your target audience with a social ad or PPC / Adwords campaign.
Be sure to include a relevant call to action, either directly within the video or in the surrounding text to help ensure your content reaches your marketing plan goals.
