Moonpeel appointed Realise in May 2015 to be an instrumental part of their brand positioning, re-launch and growth.
Rebecca worked with the founders to improve external communications and define an advertising plan to better target potential customers. One of our first recommendations was an independent market and customer survey, as well as an analysis of the market and competitors. The results of the research informed the development of the communication and advertising strategy, to help better communicate Moonpeel’s brand identity and steered communication improvements on the website.
Some of the key deliverables of the marketing strategy were then implemented to help showcase the unique selling points (USPs) of Moonpeel. We recommended and helped brief a ‘meet the founders’ video to help convey the story of Moonpeel as well as the USPs in a more human way.
One of the key areas which was important to define and optimise was to distil a range of complex audience with a variety of different needs into one compelling brand proposition and defined audiences. We created the proposition of ‘Share, Collaborate and Discover a World of Art’ to highlight some of the key USPs identified;
- Share – at the heart of Moonpeel is offering a platform for artists to share their work for free
- Collaborate – one of the key benefits is encouraging artists from different disciplines to collaborate with each other
- Discover – Bringing in the key accounts for talent agents and fans to find new artists
- A World of Art – A hint towards Moonpeel’s global reach and multidisciplinary approach.
We worked closely with our Creative Director, Design and Development contacts, who were specifically selected for this project. Realise worked collectively to define each audience profile and plan the user journey and UX across the site, through to conversion.
In the build-up to the launch of the campaign, our next stage was to work with one of our recommended PR partners in Europe to plan a press launch, press release and media approach across three target markets.
The website was carefully tested and launched in line with a social media plan in September 2015, with the social media activity and website immediately generating more new users. The site will continue to enjoy enhancements over the following months, with Facebook login and accounts for talent agents next on the agenda.
“Rebecca has been providing marketing and communication services to our company for 3 months now and during that time I have had the opportunity to see that she is focused and dedicated to producing her very best at all times. It’s not easy to find contractors like her that behave as if they were part of the board when it comes to raising issues and making optimal decisions. It’s a pleasure to work with her as she always comes up with great ideas and solutions that allow us to focus on our core activities without having to worry about the rest. It’s indeed a relief to know that her work will be done in a very professional and effective manner that considerably fulfill our expectations.”
Gaëtan Lerminiaux, Co-founder & CEO at Moonpeel
“Over the last two years, Rebecca has played an important role in Totaljobs’ new content programme producing advice for UK workers on topics like CV writing and interviewing. The programme strives to produce the leading advice anywhere online, and as such, calls for an unparalleled level of rigour in the research process. The first researcher on our new programme, Rebecca has not only delivered in-depth keyword research addressing the topics of highest importance to our audience, but also played an instrumental role in the formation of the research methodologies we use today. Her work is meticulous, and her responsiveness to our unique requirements and workflows has been particularly welcome.”
