Redefining marketing strategy via SEO, social media & website audit & recommendations
Stuart James Photography is an established wedding photography business, based in Staffordshire in the West Midlands. Stuart uses a documentary, storytelling approach and he has over 15 years experience in the industry.
We were appointed to conduct an audit and provide recommendations reports across the key areas of social media / content strategy, SEO, technical, website usability and inbound marketing.
Our work uncovered some business-critical gaps that we were able to flag for fixing before an important sales period for the business. For example, the SEO reports identified a recent issue with pages which had caused the search ranking for top keywords to dramatically diminish and resulting with competitors gaining higher search rankings. This was obviously having an impact on organic search traffic reaching the site, and by identifying and escalating the issue a fix was able to be applied to gain back search traffic. The SEO recommendations also identified a list of suggestions to improve the speed and usability of the site for the future.
We conducted mystery shopping as part of the usability and inbound marketing audit, which we translated to a range of actionable recommendations, such as the use of video, navigation improvements and content rationalisation.
Finally, our social media audit reviewed key channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, making key recommendations to improve Stuart James Photography's content and to help meet objectives such as standing out against the competition and driving enquiries from the website. Content strategy recommendations helped inform the direction of future content, including the consideration of buyer objectives and working in partnership with other suppliers. Paid social strategy reviews and recommendations also helped identify key opportunities to gain better value and return from the marketing budget.
